To provide a road surface condition detection system for detecting a road surface condition in an entire region for determining a road surface condition scanned by a lidar.SOLUTION: A road surface condition detection system 1 includes: a lidar 10 which emits laser light to scan an area for determining a road surface condition, receives reflected light from the area, and outputs a distance value and the signal intensity obtained from the received light signal of the reflected light; a thermal camera 20 which captures the area to be scanned by the lidar 10 and outputs an infrared image composed of the temperature distribution of the area; and a control unit 30 which determines a road surface condition of a portion on the basis of the signal intensity for each pixel corresponding to the road surface among pixels corresponding to a distance value in a distance image composed of the distance value distribution obtained from the lidar 10 and a temperature acquired from the infrared image of the road surface portion corresponding to the pixel.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
