PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrahigh molecular weight polyethylene powder capable of providing an ultrahigh molecular weight polyethylene fiber having uniform yarn diameter, capable of highly extending and continuously spinning.;SOLUTION: There is provided an ultrahigh molecular weight polyethylene powder having viscosity average molecular weight is 10×104 to 1000×104, and difference between a temperature to reach 80% torque value of maximum torque value and a temperature to reach 20% torque value of the maximum torque value in a measurement of torque value under following mix condition of 0.1°C to 50°C. mix condition Raw materials: A mixture containing 5 pts.mass of the ultrahigh molecular weight polyethylene powder and 95 pts.mass of a liquid paraffin based on 100 pts.mass of total of the ultrahigh molecular weight polyethylene powder and the liquid paraffin.
