To provide a method for estimating an unpleasant odorous component content level in exhaled breath, a device for estimating an unpleasant odorous component content level in exhaled breath, a program and a bad breath care method each of which enables an unpleasant odorous component content level in exhaled breath to be estimated by a simple approach.SOLUTION: The method for estimating an unpleasant odorous component content level in exhaled breath includes: an acquisition step of acquiring an image including a determination portion of a body of tongue of a subject; and an estimation step of estimating an unpleasant odorous component content level in exhaled breath of the subject on the basis of hue of the determination portion of the body of tongue included in the image acquired in the acquisition step and relationship between hue of the determination portion of the body of tongue and the unpleasant odorous component content level in exhaled breath. The determination portion includes a tongue central groove.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
