The invention relates to a sampling device (1) for attracting and sampling seedlings (100) of plants, comprising a foot part (2), and a cutting device (4) for cutting seedlings (100) above the root (104), preferably in the region of Sprouts, most preferably in the area of the hypocotyl. The cutting device (4) has a cutting board lower part (6) and a cutting board upper part (10) arranged on the cutting board lower part (6), which are displaceable relative to each other for severing the seedlings (100) or between which a cutting edge (14 ) for severing the seedlings (100) can be inserted.
