PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a microporous modified polytetrafluoroethylene film, which has pores having extremely small diameters with a narrow pore size distribution, and which is capable of removing fine foreign materials with high efficiency in cases where the film is used as a filtration membrane.;SOLUTION: This microporous modified polytetrafluoroethylene film is produced by molding a copolymer of hexafluoropropylene or perfluoroalkyl ether and tetrafluoroethylene in an amount of not less than 50 times the molar amount of the hexafluoropropylene or perfluoroalkyl ether into a film form, heating and sintering the thus-formed film at a temperature not lower than the melting point of the copolymer, and then cooling and stretching the thus-obtained sintered body, and which has a mean flow pore diameter of 30 nm or less. The porous modified polytetrafluoroethylene resin film composite having this microporous film; a method for producing the same; and a separation membrane element which uses the porous modified polytetrafluoroethylene resin film composite are disclosed.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
