An objective of this invention is to provide a compound which does not react with a base reactive compound such as epoxy compound even when being preserved for a long period of time at a state of being mixed with the base reactive compound, to therefore obtain a composition having high preservation stability, and can generate strong base (guanidine, biguanide, phosphazene or phosphonium) due to irradiation of light (active energy ray) or heating, a borate base generator containing the same, and a base reactive composition containing the borate base generator and a base reactive compound. ;The present invention relates to a compound represented by general formula (A), a base generator containing the compound, and a base reactive composition containing the borate base generator and a base reactive compound. ;;(wherein R1 represents alkyl group; aryl alkynyl group which may be substituted by halogen atom, alkyl group, alkoxy group or alkylthio group; alkenyl group; 2-furylethynyl group; 2-thiophenyl ethynyl group; or 2, 6-dithianyl group; R2~R4 independently represents alkyl group; aryl alkynyl group which may be substituted by halogen atom, alkyl group, alkoxy group or alkylthio group; alkyl group which may be substituted by halogen atom, alkyl group, alkoxy group or alkylthio group; furanyl group; thienyl group; or N-alkyl substituted pyrrolyl group; Z+ represents ammonium cation having guanidinium group, biguanidium group or phosphazenium group, or phosphonium cation)
