The blocking unit (1) has a retaining unit (1a) acting together with a dosing mechanism or a dosing unit (2) of the dosing mechanism such that an adjusting movement of the dosing mechanism or the dosing unit in a starting position of the blocking unit is prevented, and a movement or displacement of the blocking unit or the retaining unit is enabled. The blocking unit is circularly designed and/or exhibits a stopper surface (1b) for an ampul (5) or an ampul casing, where the blocking unit is movable relative to the dosing unit. An independent claim is also included for a method for arranging an injection device for delivery of a substance from an ampul or a two-chamber ampul.
