This reinforcing reinforcement (1) comprises a retractable layer (7) in a withdrawal direction (A1), under the effect of a thermal shrinkage treatment, from an initial state to a retracted state, a first undulating layer ( 9), which comprises a wire grid attached to the retractable layer and being bonded to the retractable layer by spaced apart connecting lines (13) extending transversely to the withdrawal direction, the first layer wavable having a substantially zero or smaller shrinkage than that of the retractable layer, so that, in the initial state of the shrinkable layer, the sections (15) of the first wavable layer, each defined between two consecutive connecting lines, are folded down, and that, in the retracted state of the retractable layer, the sections of the first undulating layer are curved.
