The present invention relates to a module (10) comprising, mounted on a frame, an animation mechanism for moving a decorative element. The animation mechanism comprises: - a source of mechanical energy, - a regulation system arranged to regulate the supply of energy by the source of mechanical energy, - a winding system of the energy source, - an output movable in rotation and arranged to be driven in a controlled manner by the energy source. The module (10) can be attached to a base movement (12) of a timepiece.
