FIELD: biochemistry.SUBSTANCE: invention relates to basic organic and petrochemical synthesis and can be used for producing 4,4-dimethyl-1,3-dioxane by condensation of isobutylene and formaldehyde. Proposed are synthetic zeolites of general formula Na[(AlO)(SiO)]xHO grade NaA with pore diameter 4 Å or CaNa[(AlO)(SiO)]xHO grade CaA with pore diameter 5 Å as heterogeneous cocatalysts.
