The present invention relates to a propulsion shaft system for a ship with a stow net which is modified in view of effective propulsion of a coastal ship with a stow net, the propulsion shaft system including: a propeller shaft extending outwardly from a ship body; a propeller engaged to one end of the propeller shaft; a Y-shaped strut for supporting a portion of the propeller shaft which is exposed outwardly from the ship body; and a stern tube provided in the ship body to rotatably support the propeller shaft. The stern tube has a housing with a seawater inlet port, a plurality of bearings enclosing the propeller shaft in the housing to support rotation of the propeller shaft, and a cooling ring provided to enclose the propeller shaft in a spacing between a bearing cover and a bearing disposed in a bow direction, to supply seawater flowing through the seawater inlet port to the bearings.
