The present invention relates to a gas sensor characterized by selective sensing capability for a specific gas, wherein a gas sensor according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises zinc oxide nanowires with metal nanoparticles disposed on the surface, The nanoparticles are at least one of gold (Au), platinum (Pt) and palladium (Pd) and are selectively sensitive to carbon dioxide, toluene and benzene gases, respectively.
