The present invention provides hemostatic agent powder as a hemostatic agent which is rapidly dissolved by blood at the site of surgery or injury and rapidly stops blood flow as the agent is gelled, and the hemostatic agent powder is not only easy to use but also safe for human body. The present invention is low molecular weight carboxyl methyl(CM)-β-1,3-glucan calcium salt hemostatic agent powder (chemical formula 1) in which a low-molecular CM-beta-glucan is dispersed in a mixed solution of water and alcohol, and calcium is added to produce less than one calcium per two carboxyl functional groups, and then filtering and freeze-drying is performed to stop the blood flow, thereby providing hemostatic agent powder which is not only easy to use but also safe for human body.
