The present invention provides a teaching aid using blocks, which enables a learning instructor to perform real time monitoring and guidance so that a learner such as a dementia patient, a mentally challenged child and the like including an infant may compose blocks to be matched with a given subject or a conditional rule, thereby preventing Alzheimer′s, increasing treatment effect and enhancing learning effect. To this end, the present invention provides the teaching aid comprising: a plurality of polyhedral blocks in which an electromagnet, a sensor sensing an object approaching within a predetermined distance range, and a wireless sensor node having a communication function for transmitting sensed information are attached on each surface, and in which an electromagnet driver receiving power from a battery to magnetize the electromagnets and change polarities thereof, and a wireless module turning on or off the electromagnet driver according to a signal from the outside are embedded therein; a control unit which performs a control operation to display a composition state caused by contacts between surfaces of the blocks according to the sensed signal transmitted by the wireless sensor node, generates a signal for changing the polarities of the electromagnet driver and transmits the signal to the wireless module; a monitor which outputs the composition state caused by the contacts between the surfaces of the blocks according to a control operation of the control unit; and an input unit which inputs a user command into the control unit to make each electromagnet on the blocks show the same or different polarities.
