The present invention relates to an eco-friendly synthetic wood material preparing method using citrus peels. The eco-friendly synthetic wood material is used to recycle citrus peels for recycling, uses a unique management method for bypassing the citrus oil extracted from the citrus peels, and reserves and utilizes the unique directionality and insecticide of the citrus peels. According to the present invention, the eco-friendly synthetic wood material preparing method includes: a primary mixture preparing step of preparing a primary mixture including wood powder with the particle size of 40 to 100 mesh and moisture content of 4 to 8%, a resin made of polypropylene or polyethylene, and additives; a secondary mixture preparing step of mixing 20-30 parts by weight of the citrus peel powder prepared by drying and grinding the citrus peels with 100 parts by weight of the primary mixture while making the water content of the citrus peel powder be 4% and the average particle size of the citrus peel powder be 1/5 to 1/8 to that of the wood powder to fill a gap space with the wood powder in a pallet preparing step using a molding operation to be executed in the future; a secondary mixture stirring step of stirring the secondary mixture; a pellet preparing step of preparing the pellets by extruding and shaping the stirred secondary mixture; and a synthetic wood molding step of molding the synthetic wood material in a determined shape by extruding the pellets prepared in the pellet preparing step.
