Type-1 procollagen Cosmetic composition containing a new peptide effective in stimulating Type-1 procollagen synthesis for wrinkles improvement.
The present invention relates to peptides represented by chemical formulas 1-4, which show the effect of promoting collagen synthesis while not suppressing the cell growth; a cosmetic composition for reducing skin wrinkles, which comprises such peptides as effective components; a topical agent for preventing skin wrinkles; and a pharmaceutical composition for preventing and treating skin diseases. [Chemical formula 1] [Cys-Lys-X-Lys] [Chemical formula 2] [Lys-Val-X-Cys] [Chemical formula 3] [Cys-Lys-X-Lys]_2 [Chemical formula 4] [Lys-Val-X-Cys]_2. In the chemical formulas 1-4, X is selected from glutamic acid, aspartic acid, histidine, phenylalanine, alanine, cysteine, glycine, glutamine, asparagine, arginine, leucine, isoleucine, serine, tyrosine, threonine, lysine, tryptophan, proline, and valine; and [ ]_2 may represent a dimer having transformed a cysteine residue, a thiol group (-SH) to a reduced form (-S-S-).
