Provided is a method for producing a filter for treating a malodorous substance, capable of effectively treating the malodorous substance. Moreover, provided is a filter for treating the malodorous substance produced thereby. The method for producing the filter for treating the malodorous substance comprises the following steps: preparing a porous filter body having a plurality of pores and having elasticity; applying an adhesive material having adhesive force to the filter body; bringing the filter body coated with the adhesive material in contact with a solid treatment material for treating the malodorous substance; applying pressure to a filter body applied with the adhesive material and in contact with the treatment material to induce a first physical change in the filter body; and removing pressure from the filter body to which the first physical change is induced, so as to induce a second physical change in the filter body by restoring force.
