The present invention relates to a management system and method for automated test equipment (ATE) based on a database. The method of managing the ATE for controlling a plurality of instruments includes: a first step (S100) of storing and managing control interface data by the instrument, which is able to be controlled in the ATE, as database; a second step (S200) of receiving information by test item of the instrument which is able to be controlled in the ATE, and generating a test procedure; and a third step (S300) of storing and managing the test procedure by instrument which is generated at the second step, as a database. Since the test procedure of a unit under test and the control of the instrument are processed by data defined by the database, unskilled persons can easily develop the test procedure.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2018
