The present invention provides a method for preparing a coagulant for treating waste water using waste sulfuric acid and ferronickel slag produced in a regeneration process of lead storage battery, which comprises: a first step of mixing ferronickel slag, waste sulfuric acid produced in a regeneration process of lead storage battery, and water to prepare magnesium sulfate; and a second step of mixing poly ferric sulfate at a weight ratio of 1.5 : 1 to 2 : 1 with the magnesium sulfate prepared in the first step. According to the present invention, waste sulfuric acid and ferronickel slag produced in a regeneration process of lead storage battery are used to prepare a coagulant composition for treating waste water, thereby reducing consumption of alkali as a neutralizing agent and significantly enhancing coagulation speed and effects. Accordingly, manufacturing costs can be reduced to give excellent effects in terms of performance and economic advantages. In addition, poly ferric sulfate is added in the coagulant composition prepared according to the present invention, thereby reducing BOD or COD.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2018
