The present invention relates to [C60] fullerene nanowhiskers-gold nanoparticle composites exhibiting catalytic activity in a reduction reaction of 4-nitrophenol to 4-aminophenol and to a manufacturing method thereof. The [C_60] fullerene nanowhiskers-gold nanoparticle composites according to the present invention are synthesized by a liquid-liquid interface precipitation method by using a [C_60] fullerene saturated toluene solution, a gold nanoparticle solution, and isopropyl alcohol, and the 4-aminophenol can be manufactured by the reduction reaction of the 4-nitrophenol, which is commercially available as an intermediate preparation of antipyretic and analgesic medicines to be used as a catalyst.
