Provided is a method for optimally designing a centrifugal impeller and a diagonal flow pump impeller which comprises: a step of determining an impeller design specification to design a shape of an impeller including a plurality of wings to simultaneously optimize efficiency and suction performance; a step of determining an impeller specific speed; a step of determining an impeller objective function and a design variable; and a step of drawing an optimal shape of an impeller through an experimental plan of the design variable.
