The hull for a semi-submersible wind turbine platform that floats in water and can support a wind turbine includes a keystone and at least three bottom beams extending radially outwardly of the keystone. Each bottom beam has a first beam portion and a column base portion, the column base portion being configured to support an outer column of the hull at the top, and the first beam portion defining a first ballast compartment therein. The first ballast compartment is in fluid communication with water in the water body in which the hull is floating.
