A device for investigating functional connectivity of neural cells comprises: an optical stimulator applying a light stimulus to a cell to be stimulated in a nerve tissue; an electrode detecting a nerve signal of the subject cell in the nerve tissue; and a computer processing light stimulus information by the optical stimulator and neural signal information detected by the electrode, and a light gene inducing a change in cell membrane potential by light stimulus is expressed in the cell to be stimulated, so that the cell to be stimulated induces cell stimulation by the light stimulus, and the computer analyzes the correlation between a light stimulus state of the subject cell and the neural signal detected from the subject cell to derive the correlation between the nerve cells in the nerve tissue.
