Disclosed in embodiments of the present invention are a visit guidance method and device for an exhibit in a museum. The visit guidance method for an exhibit in a museum comprises: locating the starting position of a museum currently in place; receiving a visit guidance instruction for an exhibit and obtaining the target position of a target exhibit, the visit guidance instruction for an exhibit carrying exhibit information of the target exhibit; planning a path from the starting position and the target position according coordinate information of the starting position and the target position in a museum map; and according to the path, moving to the target exhibit position indicated by the target position. By using the present invention, a path from a starting position to a destination position can be planned and visitors are led to a target exhibit along the planned path, and accordingly, the accuracy of the visit guidance effect can be improved.
