A big data analysis-based competitiveness ranking method for enterprise industry sectors. The method utilizes the differential thought in mathematics to differentiate enterprises into industries by the standard of national economic industry classification codes, such that enterprise industry sectors have a unified standard (name and code), then recombining the differentiated sub-companies (legal entities) by the same industry code, merges individual account forms, overseas sub-company forms, and financial sub-company forms of sub-companies (legal entities) of one same industry, selects financial index values, establishes a unified index ranking system, and then ranks the enterprises, thereby helping the enterprises to focus on industries, calculate financial index values of industry sectors, clarify the position of the industry sectors in the market, further integrate resources, optimize industry structures, and invest in more competitive sectors, providing scientific and powerful data support for the transformation and upgrading of state-owned enterprises. Said method can also be applicable to central enterprises, municipal state-owned enterprises, listed companies, and private enterprises and the like.
