[Problem] An objective of the present invention is to obtain immortalized human-derived tumor vascular endothelial cells which are useful in cell based experiments such as compound screening. [Solution] The present invention pertains to a method for creating a strain of immortalized tumor vascular endothelial cells by: performing cellular separation by cellular separation using magnetic beads and optionally selected flow cytometry on a cell suspension derived from tumor tissue comprising tumor vascular endothelial cells, thereby separating a cell group comprising CD31-positive cells; then combining subculturing of the separated cell group and flow cytometry to re-separate a cell group comprising CD31-positive cells; transforming the cell group by using a viral vector that can express SV40T genes, hTERT genes, and genes capable of coding fluorescent protein; and combining subculturing and flow cytometry to isolate transformed cells. The present invention makes it possible to stably provide large quantities of tumor vascular endothelial cells useful for the screening of drugs and for the development of pharmaceuticals specifically for tumor vascular endothelial cells.
