摘要

Disclosed are a real-time panoramic image production system on the basis of a lookup table and a panoramic image production method using the same. This real-time panoramic image production system on the basis of the lookup table comprises: a first image information collecting unit for collecting first image information about a subject; and a second image information generating unit for generating second image information by processing the collected first image information on the basis of a pre-stored lookup table. Accordingly, when producing a panoramic image on the basis of a plurality of images, it is possible to correct a deviation between three-dimensional real world coordinates of the subject and two-dimensional image coordinates of the subject outputted by a screen to mitigate non-linear radial distortion and deterioration of resolution and image quality caused thereby. In addition, the panoramic image is produced through an image processing process for solving the problem of the non-linear radial distortion, and the image processing process may be performed in real-time on a limited resource, and the size of the panoramic image production system may be miniaturized, and an image capturing means and an image processing means may be embodied as one real-time stand-alone embedded system.
