Disclosed is a method for engineering a fair-faced concrete protective agent for a downstream dam face of a roller compacted concrete dam. The method comprises steps such as engineering work preparation, base surface cleaning and grinding, base surface repair, base surface chromatic aberration adjustment, base surface flushing, protective coating engineering and protective coating curing. By means of targeted base layer treatment processes, the problems of chromatic aberration and holes in a concrete base layer are solved, and after the protective agent is coated on, the texture and colour near the concrete original, and visual effects meet requirements. Furthermore, the base layer repair material's index is reliable, meeting the demands of structural durability.
