The present invention provides a genetically-modified Trypanosoma cruzi having a calcium indicator, and an application of said Trypanosoma cruzi for screening of an anti-trypanosome agent. More specifically, the present invention provides: a genetically-modified Trypanosoma cruzi having, in the body thereof, an intracellular calcium indicator that includes a fused protein of a mammal-derived calmodulin, a myosin light chain kinase-derived peptide (M13 peptide), and a marker protein; and a screening method of an anti-trypanosome agent in which said Trypanosoma cruzi is used.
