The present invention relates to the field of Internet, and provides a data acquisition method for video recommendation technology and a video recommendation system. The method comprises: recording tags corresponding to videos; displaying the tags corresponding to the videos to a user after the videos are played; prompting the user to select a tag of interest to the user from the displayed tags; recording the tag of interest to the user; and pushing other videos having the same tag to the user according to the recorded tag, and sending technology usage data to a data acquisition end preset by the manufacturer. According to the present invention, a user is prompted to select a tag of interest to the user from video-related tags so that a system actively recommends videos consistent with user interests to the user to achieve more accurate video pushing, and moreover, the manufacturer can also conveniently and effectively acquire usage information of the related technology in time.
