A power control method supplied to an electrical network (150) that uses an energy storage device (120) to store energy, the method comprising: receiving an indication of the power to be supplied to the electricity network (150); generate power from at least one power generator (110); and adjusting, using the power generated from the power generator (110), a power level of the energy storage device (120) to control the power supplied to the power grid (150) according to the received indication, characterized by The setting includes: adjusting the energy storage by the energy storage device (120) in accordance with an optimal discharge and storage profile or a predetermined power storage and discharge profile of the energy storage device (120 ); and adjusting the power generation from the at least one power generator (110) to satisfy the indication received, based on an optimum or predetermined power input profile of the at least one power generator (110).
