A drag reduction assembly (200), comprising: a container (108) configured to contain a liquid (112), the container including an upper portion and a lower portion; a ventilation arrangement (114) extending in the container (108), the ventilation arrangement configured to direct gases into the container; a suction structure (212) extending in the lower portion of the container, the suction structure being configured to extract the liquid from the container; and a deflector (210) disposed between the suction structure (212) and the ventilation arrangement (114) inside the container, characterized in that the deflector has perforations that extend therethrough and configured to allow the liquid to enter while diverting the uncondensed gases (208) away from the suction structure to reduce the entrainment of gases (208) without condensing during the extraction of the liquid, the deflector having a center line and a through hole line, dividing the center line in two the baffle, the line of through holes corresponding to a longitudinal axis of at least one of the perforations, intersecting the center line and the line of through holes to define an angle between them, varying the angle from 45 ° to 135 °.
