solar cells consisting of water and water-soluble ruthenium complexes with phosphines: a new type of solar cell # The present invention relates to novel dye solar cells consisting of coordination compounds in water.. These solar cells are simpler and cheaper than known such as types Crätzel or semiconductor. The dyes of this new cell type are aqueous-soluble organometallic ruthenium compounds. The use of water for the manufacture of solar cells allows manufacture all kinds of plastics, which further lowers the cost. The present invention allows the use of all types of atmospheres, temperatures below 100 ° C and UV or visible radiation. The solar cells obtained are simpler, cheaper and easier to manufacture than currently known to reduce the number of components and use water as solvent.
