The invention relates to a corrosion protection coating for metals, in particular for corrosion protection of metals selected from the group made up of aluminum, aluminum alloys, steel, and steel having a coating comprising zinc, comprising an optionally cured bonding agent or bonding agent system, particles of a corrosion protection pigment distributed in the optionally cured bonding agent or bonding agent system and made of an alloy of zinc and magnesium having a zinc content of 90 wt % or less, preferably 74 to 84 w t %, particularly preferably 80 wt % or less, further preferably 74 to 80 wt %, and in particular 74 wt %, preferably no chromium compounds of optionally further particulate solids, wherein the proportion by volume of spherical particles of said corrosion protection pigment relative to the total solid particles present in the corrosion protection coating is 70% or more, preferably 80% or more, further preferably 90% or more, and particularly preferably 95% or more, the pigment volume concentration in the corrosion protection coating being 90 to 110% of the pigment volume concentration necessary for achieving the percolation threshold.
