EQUIPMENT FOR FLATTENING AND SOFTLY TRANSFERRING A PIECE OF MASA FOR RECTIFYING THE SHAPE AND AVOIDING DEFORMATIONS THEREOF, FROM THE MESH FOR TRANSFERRING THE PIECE OF MASA TO THE COOKING BELT OF A MECHANIZED TORTILLA MAKING MACHINE.
The present invention refers to novel equipment for flattening and softly transferring a piece of masa for rectifying the shape and avoiding deformations thereof, from the mesh for transferring the piece of masa to the cooking belt of a mechanized tortilla making machine; which is characterized in that it includes at least a flattening roller element, rotating in the end portion of the mesh for transferring the piece of masa, mounted in a couple of support elements; between the surface of the mesh and the surface of the roller element there is a separation tight enough for passing the pieces of mass (uncooked tortillas) and for flattening any possible deformation (high relief) such as folds generated in the piece of masa when falls from the roller to the transference mesh; and a discharge ramp of the piece of masa transversally mounted at the end of said transference mesh, which reduces the height and separation between the end of the mesh and the cooking belt of the tortilla making m achine, for allowing a soft transference to be performed, preventing the piece of masa from folding during the fall of the transference mesh to the cooking belt.
