The invention relates to a packaging container which both: extends the shelf life of food, particularly berries, by means of the incorporation of an active antifungal agent in the surface of the packaging, such that while the fruit is in the packaging an antifungal effect is permanently exerted on the surface thereof (where most deterioration processes occur); and helps to preserve the environment. The invention also relates to a preparation method and the use thereof.
