Devices for facilitating the handling of solvents, compositions, and samples on carriers include a holder, a cap, an insert, and at least one device, wherein: the holder comprises a substantially cylindrical-shaped sample portion having a recess for receiving the insert, wherein the lower portion of the recess is provided with at least one aperture and wherein the outer shell of the sample holder portion is threaded in at least one portion thereof and wherein in this threaded portion the outer shape of the holder is substantially a roll; the insert consists of an outer portion and an inner portion, the outer portion of the insert being provided with an opening for the inner portion of the insert connecting the opposing supports of the outer portion of the insert, the inner portion of the insert being provided with at least one opening connecting its opposing supports, and wherein the outer shape of the outer portion of the insert is sized and the shape of the recess of the sample holder portion and the outer shape of the inner portion of the insert is adapted to the opening in the outer portion of the insert at least in a portion of the inner portion of the insert and at least in the portion of the inner portion of the insert is greater than the narrowest point of the opening in the outer portion of the insert; the cap comprises a substantially cylindrical-shaped recess, wherein the inner shell of the lid recess is provided with a thread compatible with the thread on the outer shell of the sample portion of the holder in at least one portion thereof, and wherein the lid portion opposite the lid portion includes a recess at least one opening. preferably circular; wherein a portion of the lid around the aperture or openings in the lid in the region facing the lid recess is at least in some portion greater than a plan view of the outer portion of the insert and / or the devices located in the device; the device is adapted to fit into the sample portion of the holder in shape and size, and is selected from the group consisting of filters, washers, gaskets, separation portions, sample carriers, or combinations thereof.
