The present invention relates to a method for processing optical coherence tomography (oct) scans on an individual's skin, the method comprising: receiving at least one oct scan through the skin of an individual, each scan representing a oct signal in a cut through the skin of an individual; processing each oct scan to determine a set of parameters comprising at least one measure of vascular structure atrophy in the epidermis; wherein processing produces a skin condition measurement dependent on each set of parameters, and the method comprises performing the skin condition measurement.
