The present description generally relates to one or more methods for organizing a plurality of vehicle-associated remote units or mobile computing platforms (mcps) so that remote units or mcps can communicate with each other, for example without messages. routing through the backend server. in some respects remote units or mcps may initiate the process by transmitting a wake up message and / or ready to the server.
