PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cold rolled steel sheet and a galvanized cold rolled steel sheet each of which has a high Young modulus in any direction and is excellent in workability.SOLUTION: There is provided the high Young modulus cold rolled steel sheet having a composition component containing, by mass%, C:0.0005 to 0.0045%, Si:0.50% or less, Mn:0.30 to 1.50%, P:0.040% or less, S:0.010% or less, Al:0.10% or less, N:0.006% or less, Nb:0.005 to 0.040%, Ti:0.002 to 0.050%, B:0.0005 to 0.0050% so as to satisfy specific formula and the balance iron with inevitable impurities. The high Young modulus cold rolled steel sheet has an average value (A) of a random strength ratio in a {557} 9 16 5 orientation and an average value (B) of a random strength ratio in a {111} 112 orientation which are measured at 1/2 thickness and 1/8 thickness and are each 7 or more. The high Young modulus cold rolled steel sheet further has an average value (C) of a random strength ratio in a {100} 012 orientation satisfying (C)(A)/8.
