A method and apparatus for power management in a cellular network for the processing of multi-carrier operation in the case where the cellular communication service and the proximity communication service occur at the same time have been proposed. The power headroom report is transmitted by the user equipment. The power headroom report includes at least a power reduction reference amount that reflects the power reduction when the user equipment performs the proximity service communication.
