PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an iron source raw material from an oil-containing dust sludge without requiring large scale facilities or without accompanying increase in use amount of fuel such as heavy oil, and to provide a processing method for oil-containing dust sludge.SOLUTION: Provided is a method for producing an iron source raw material using an oil-containing dust sludge comprising at least one of metal and metal oxide, and in which a foaming agent is added to the oil-containing dust sludge, and the oil content contained in the oil-containing dust sludge is separated and removed by bubbles generated during therewith.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
