PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a honeycomb sandwich structure achieving both weight reduction and high strength which has high fire resistance and is suppressed in smoking property.SOLUTION: There is provided a honeycomb sandwich structure having a honeycomb core and a fiber-reinforced plastic plate on at least one of the upper surface and the lower surface of the honeycomb core, where the fiber-reinforced plastic plate is a plastic plate obtained by hot press-molding a sheet for a fiber-reinforced plastic molded body containing a reinforced fiber component, a matrix resin component containing a thermoplastic super engineering plastic fiber and a binder component. The thermoplastic super engineering-plastic fiber has a limited oxygen index of 24 or more.
