PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for driving a Pasteur sterilization system.SOLUTION: A container closed after being filled with a food product is treated with a temperature-controlled aqueous treatment solution in one or more treatment zones. At least a part of the treatment solution is guided in a circulation path around the treatment zones for reuse. The partial amount of the guided treatment solution is withdrawn in at least one circulation path and supplied into a cleaning device including a membrane filtration device. In that case, the rate of passage through the membrane filtration device is continuously monitored by a sensor device. The passage control position of at least a piece of adjustable passage adjustment means is adjusted, thereby adjusting a volume flow passing through the membrane filtration device. At least one partial flow is then returned into the circulation path or the treatment zone again.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
