PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a remodeling method for economically stabilizing an old type press brake having no safety device, and a stabilized press brake.;SOLUTION: A used old type press brake which is so configured that a hydraulic oil, which is discharged from a hydraulic power source comprising a motor 1 and a hydraulic pump 2, is guided to cylinders 13, 14a, 14b, which push up a lower table, via a prescribed oil passage 15, and the hydraulic oil in the oil passage 15 is selectively drained by a changeover valve 11 is prepared. A failure detection device, which detects an abnormal state that a hand of an operator is inserted between an upper table and the lower table, is newly provided to a place at which an abnormal state in the old type press brake can be detected, and by being operated based on a detection signal of the abnormal state by the failure detection device, a quick stop valve 8 for draining the hydraulic oil in the oil passage 15 is so fitted as to be communicated with the oil passage 15.;SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1;COPYRIGHT: (C)2018,JPO&INPIT
