PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically improve accuracy of rock mass strength determination by self-learning.;SOLUTION: A rock mass strength determination device includes: a conversion section for converting elastic wave velocity of rock mass to teacher data indicating a category related to strength of the rock mass; an association section for associating image data of the rock mass to the teacher data; a feature extractor for extracting a feature amount of the image data, by repeatedly executing multiple times of convolution processing for applying convolution to the image data using a filter parameter of a prescribed region and pooling processing for reducing size of post-convolution processing data; an identification section for performing total connection processing using a parameter on the basis of the feature amount extracted in the feature amount section, in order to determine one rock mass strength-related category to which the image data belongs, on the basis of processing result data of the total connection processing; and an update processing section for updating the parameter used in the convolution processing and the parameter used in the total connection processing so that an error between the processing result data according to the identification section and the teacher data reduces.;SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1;COPYRIGHT: (C)2018,JPO&INPIT
