PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antifouling coating composition capable of forming a coating film excellent in antifouling properties and water resistance, a (meth)acrylic copolymer and a resin composition suitable for obtaining the antifouling coating composition, and a method for producing the (meth)acrylic copolymer.SOLUTION: The (meth)acrylic copolymer according to a first embodiment of the present invention has at least one of structures (I) represented by formula (1), formula (2), and formula (3) and a polysiloxane group. In the formulae, X represents -O-, -S-, or -NR-; Rrepresents a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group; Rand Reach represent a hydrogen atom or a C1-10 alkyl group; Rand Reach represent a C1-20 alkyl group, a cycloalkyl group, or an aryl group; and Rand Reach represent a C1-10 alkylene group.SELECTED DRAWING: None
