PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and method for measuring a region of teeth, especially a subgingival area, using, for example, contact measurement.SOLUTION: An adapter 1778 to be applied to an intraoral scanner including at least one image sensor that is provided to bring at least a part of a tooth into view, includes: at least one connector configured to be connected to the intraoral scanner; and at least one stylus 1718 to be connected to the connector.
