PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To measure a suitable ball speed.;SOLUTION: A ball speed measurement system has an information processing apparatus 1 and a photographing apparatus 2. The photographing apparatus 2 is installed in the position capable of photographing a pitcher and a catcher. The information processing apparatus 1 acquires a first image 4 comprising the ball pitched by the pitcher from the photographing device 2, acquires the image comprising the predetermined number of the balls having different photographing time from the photographing device 2 when the ball is present in a measurement section being set to the first image 4, calculates a moving distance based on the position of the ball in the first image 4 and the position of the ball in second image 7 photographed last by the photographing device 2 among images comprising the predetermined number of balls, and identifies a ball speed of the ball based on the calculated moving distance and the photographing time from when the photographing device 2 photographs the first image 4 and till when it photographs the second image 7.;SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1;COPYRIGHT: (C)2019,JPO&INPIT
