PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique of understanding the number of cultured cells in a colony noninvasively.SOLUTION: A culture information processing device comprises an acquisition unit, a contour information generating unit, a cell counting unit, and a teacher information generating unit. The acquisition unit acquires a fluorescent image group captured by changing the focal position for each cell making up a first cell cluster which have been dyed by a fluorescent dye. The contour information generating unit determines size information of contours when the first cell cluster is projected onto an observation surface. The cell counting unit determines the number of cells in the first cell cluster using the fluorescent image group. The teacher information generating unit generates teacher information by associating information on the number of cells in the first cell cluster and the information on the size of the contours of the first cell cluster with the information showing the first cell cluster during the observation period.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
